On june 12, 1898, in the province of Cavite, General Emilio Aguinaldo declared the nation’s independence, marking the birth of the Philippine Republic. His Vice President, Gen, Mariano Trias y Closas, was a great ally in the revolution and in the establishment of the new republic.
The Municipality of Gen. Trias, formerly San Francisco de Malabon, takes from this rich and glorious past to launch another revolution. A growing number of economic zones. and Industrial estates has created a new landscaped in the area, and more and more residential subdivisions, commercial centers and supermalls are now found in what was once mostly rural countryside. Gen. Trias emerges not only as an alternative tourist destination, but a prime residential area, supported by business, educational, and leisure and sport centers.
